Participation in seminars and conferences concerning the Small and Medium-sized Enterprise (SME) sector:

  • On May 22, 2025, a staff member from the Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises Centre at the University of Lodz’s Faculty of Economics and Sociology delivered a lecture titled "Micro-enterprise Statistics: Organization of the Annual Enterprise Survey" to students of Econometrics and Data Analytics. The meeting was part of the educational program carried out under the "Case Study Library" project, which comprises a series of classes dedicated to students.   • The 4th Congress of Polish Statistics took place in Warsaw on July 2–4, 2024. The Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises Centre prepared a presentation titled "Micro-enterprise Statistics: New Initiatives and Directions for Development."   • The 39th International Scientific Conference "Multidimensional Statistical Analysis 2021" took place in Łódź on November 8–10, 2021.   • The MET2019 scientific conference on Statistical Research Methodology took place in Warsaw from July 3 to 5, 2019. The Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises Centre prepared a presentation titled "Micro-enterprise statistics – development and integration of statistical surveys in the years 2009–2019."   • On May 6–7, 2019, a workshop titled "Workshop on the Use of Admin Data for LMI Statistics"—focused on labor market statistics within the context of business surveys—was held at the headquarters of Statistics Poland. The meeting aimed to present various ways of utilizing administrative data in surveys regarding wage structures and labor costs. Participants included staff from Eurostat and representatives from the statistical offices of European Union member states and candidate countries. The Statistical Office in Łódź was represented by Agnieszka Mirończuk and Aneta Staszek from the Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises Centre.   • From November 5 to 7, 2018, staff members of the Centre participated in the 37th Scientific Conference "Multidimensional Statistical Analysis 2018," organized by the Department of Statistical Methods at the Institute of Statistics and Demography, Faculty of Economics and Sociology, University of Lodz.
  • From July 10 to 12, 2018, during the 2nd Congress of Polish Statistics—organized by Statistics Poland and the Polish Statistical Association—Dr. Artur Mikulec, representing the Centre for Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises and the University of Lodz, presented a paper titled "Synthesis of cohort and cross-sectional results regarding enterprise survival tables in the Łódź Voivodeship." Participation in the congress provided an opportunity for representatives of official statistics, academic institutions, and other partners involved in the study of social, economic, and environmental processes to meet and exchange knowledge, views, and experiences.
  • At the invitation of the Poznań University of Economics and Business, staff from the Centre participated in the "European Establishment Statistics Workshop 2015" (EESW 15) - an international event focused on business statistics - held from October 7 to 9, 2015. The workshop was organized under the auspices of the European Network for Better Establishment Statistics (ENBES) initiative, established with Eurostat’s support to enhance cooperation among European statistical institutions regarding the methodology, theory, and practical applications of business statistics. Participation in the event facilitated an exchange of experiences and views among statisticians, researchers, and users of statistical data involved in business statistics, covering both practical and academic perspectives.
  • On October 17–18, 2013, during the “Statistics–Knowledge–Development” conference organized by the Statistical Office in Łódź to mark the International Year of Statistics, Aneta Staszek from the Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises Centre delivered a paper titled “Microenterprise statistics – experiences and directions for development.”
  • From July 24 to 26, 2012, Aneta Staszek from the Statistical Office in Łódź participated in a seminar titled "Statistical Surveys of Small Enterprises," co-organized by the Russian Federal State Statistics Service (ROSSTAT) and Statistics Poland (GUS) in Svetlogorsk. She delivered a presentation titled "Completeness of Micro-enterprise Surveys – Poland's Experience."
  • On December 2–3, 2010, staff from the Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises Centre, together with a representative from Statistics Poland’s Department of Enterprises, participated in a workshop organized by Eurostat and the OECD on entrepreneurship indicators regarding the determinants of entrepreneurship.
