General information
The Statistical Office in Łódź is part of the public statistics service, subordinate to the President of Statistics Poland, and operates on the basis of:
- the Act of 29 June 1995 on Public Statistics (consolidated text: Journal of Laws of 2024, item 1799);
- the Statute of the Statistical Office in Łódź, constituting an annex to Order No. 14 of the President of Statistics Poland of 24 August 2012 regarding the granting of the statute to the Statistical Office in Łódź (Official Journal of Statistics Poland, item 42; 2014, item 47; 2017, item 19; 2018, item 66; 2019, item 29; 2023, item 15; and 2024, item 59);
- the Act of 21 November 2008 on the Civil Service (consolidated text: Journal of Laws of 2024, item 409);
- the organizational regulations of the Office, constituting an annex to Internal Order No. 5 of the Director of the Statistical Office in Łódź of 6 March 2018 (as amended)
Since 1 January 1999, the territorial scope of the Statistical Office in Łódź has covered the Łódź Voivodeship. It carries out its tasks both at the Office's headquarters in Łódź and at three branches: in Brzeziny, Piotrków Trybunalski, and Sieradz.
